Job summary

Biffa is seeking a Traffic Dispatcher / Transport Administrator in Trafford to coordinate daily depot operations, allocate vehicles and plan routes while upholding health and safety and traffic compliance.

You will monitor driver availability, oversee vehicle checks, manage admin tasks such as payroll and timesheets, and drive cost efficiency through data analysis in a busy transport environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport administration, logistics, dispatch or a related coordination role.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Experience coordinating drivers, vehicles and daily routes.
• Confident communicating with drivers, depot managers, customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to plan and coordinate daily workloads and vehicle movements.
• Ability to monitor vehicle/driver movements and respond to delays.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy depot/transport team.
