Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a proactive Storeperson to join our depot in Sunderland. You will manage stores, inventory and deliveries, supporting procurement, fleet and compliance activities to ensure materials and equipment are ready for project delivery.

The role combines hands-on stores duties with administrative tasks, requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse or materials management with ownership.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and stores systems.
• Able to balance physical stores work with admin tasks and system duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stores and yard organisation and maintain a tidy, safe environment.
• Manage deliveries, goods received and stock using company systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock counts.
• Support vehicle and plant issues and fleet compliance.
• Assist with procurement activities and supplier liaison.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company standards.
