Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Depot Supervisor for our Bottesford depot in Leicestershire. You will manage stock, coordinate deliveries, supervise subcontractors and assist with loading materials while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

The role involves occasional travel to project locations across the UK and developing strong relationships with customers and site personnel. A valid UK driving licence and site safety qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a depot, yard or operational environment.
• Familiarity with construction/plant/fleet/modular accommodation sectors.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and practices.
• Full UK driving licence and good admin skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage depot stores and stock control processes.
• Coordinate deliveries and collections for site teams.
• Supervise subcontractors and on-site labour.
• Assist with loading of materials and assets.
• Maintain depot security and regulatory compliance.
• Implement risk assessments and method statements.
• Carry out basic depot maintenance tasks.
• Maintain records and digital filing systems.
• Ensure clear safety communications and notices.
• Build relations with customers, suppliers and staff.
• Report unsafe acts and near misses.
• Support projects at other locations as needed.
