Job summary

Air Products Inc. is seeking a PG Operator for our Walkden depot in the United Kingdom. This hands-on role involves safely controlling all depot filling activities, operating pumps, handling cylinders, and loading pallets while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

You will maintain accurate process documentation, support loading operations with a forklift, and contribute to a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating in high-safety environments.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and quality specs.
• Willingness to work independently and use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Safely control all depot filling activities.
• Operate electrical motors and pumps (cryogenic and non-cryogenic).
• Move and connect cylinders to filling points and load cylinders onto pallets.
• Support loading operations using a forklift truck and complete documentation.
• Analyse incoming and finished products to ensure quality specifications.
• Receive deliveries and perform conformity checks.
• Maintain safe working practices and report faults promptly.
• Carry out cylinder inspection, painting, labeling, and minor repairs as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement and safety culture.
