Job summary

DPD Group in the UK is recruiting an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen depot operations. You will work closely with self-employed and employed drivers, building strong relationships and keeping them engaged and motivated to ensure outstanding service.

You will manage targets for core routes and stops per route, ensure safe loading procedures, and maintain timely communications with drivers. The role requires resilient, flexible leadership and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced delivery

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced operation with proven people management, leading a high-performing team.
• Strong communication, motivating and managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure depot target for Core Routes is achieved.
• Ensure depot target Stops Per Route (SPR) is achieved.
• Ensure all delivery & collection routes are properly set.
• Ensure drivers scan and load vans safely and on time.
• Maintain ongoing communication with drivers to resolve issues.
• Manage ad-hoc collections via pool of drivers or couriers.
• Complete relevant documentation and systems accurately.
• Set KPIs for Service, Cost, Productivity, Transport and Health & Safety.
• Achieve Depot Clear in line with targets.
