Job summary

Highland Fuels Ltd is seeking an experienced Depot Supervisor to support safe, efficient and compliant depot operations. The role is hands-on, covering driver debriefs, vehicle checks, and planning.

You will ensure issues are identified and resolved quickly and will liaise with drivers and external service providers to keep vehicles ready for the next shift. The ideal candidate has experience in transport or depot operations, strong planning skills, and a good eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, fleet or depot operations.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to build positive relationships with drivers and stakeholders.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured debriefs with returning drivers.
• Identify and record vehicle defects before vehicles are parked.
• Review failed or delayed deliveries and identify follow-up actions.
• Ensure all paperwork and compliance checks are completed before end of shift.
• Feed operational information into the next day’s planning.
• Reallocate vehicles or amend routes to resolve issues.
• Carry out daily depot, yard and vehicle walk-around checks.
• Prepare driver performance reports using Webfleet and Vision.
• Support quarterly vehicle checks and inspections.
• Coordinate tyre inspections and accompany external operators when required.
