Job summary

Post 2 Post Recruitment is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to oversee the Carrington depot's day-to-day operations. This hands-on leadership role focuses on safe, efficient, and compliant practices while guiding a team of operatives, drivers, and support staff.

You will coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with internal teams and external transport providers, manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement across health and safety, cost control, and service levels.

• Experience leading operational teams within a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.

• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational costs.

An established international business is looking to recruit an experienced Depot Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of its Carrington depot. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant running of the site while leading a team, coordinating logistics, and maintaining excellent operational standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in depot, logistics, or warehouse management and be confident leading people in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Experience Required

* Full UK driving licence.

* Forklift licence and/or CPC qualification would be advantageous.

* Experience with container handling, storage, repairs, or yard operations would be beneficial.

Salary, Benefits and Working Pattern

* Full-time, permanent position.

* 40 hours per week.

* Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Location

The role is based in Carrington and is fully site-based, overseeing the day-to-day operation of a busy depot.
