Job summary

GAP Group Limited in Watford is seeking a proactive Labourer to join our Non-Mechanical Division and help keep the depot running safely and efficiently.

You'll tidy the workshop and yard, prep non-mechanical equipment for hire, and support the team in delivering excellent service to customers across construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors, with real opportunities for progression within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment.
• Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• CSCS card, forklift licence, and driving licence are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free
• Cleaning equipment and store it in an orderly fashion
• Quality‑checking equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it's hire‑ready
• Assisting with general workshop duties as required
• Carrying out driving duties (subject to licence) and assisting Drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles
• Operating forklift when necessary
