Job summary

GAP Group Ltd. is seeking a General Manager for our Heathrow depot to drive operational excellence and commercial growth. You will own the Profit Centre, shape strategy, and lead a high-performing team delivering exceptional service to customers across construction, utilities, and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Operational management experience, ideally within construction or hire industry
• Strong leadership skills to motivate a high-performing team
• Commercial acumen including experience managing P&L and spotting business development opportunities
• Knowledge of Plant & Tool equipment and local customer base (beneficial)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop depot team to drive performance and exceed customer expectations
• Manage Profit Centre and influence all aspects of depot operations including recruitment, training, purchasing equipment and supplies
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue with new and existing customers
• Ensure quality and compliance through audits and regular customer visits
