We have a great opportunity to join us as the Depot General Manager for one of our depots, Gatwick. We are looking for an outstanding Depot Manager to strengthen our highly successful Northern senior management team. You will be a leader who allows their people to achieve ever-greater heights and inspires leading from the front, putting Gatwick depot at the top of the leaderboard!

Our Depot Manager role is for someone who leads through their people, from the front, with a clear focus on achieving goals. Can you balance priorities? We are looking for:

• A self-starter who takes pride in the success of their depot and their people. You will have experience in the logistics or distribution industry and a proven background running large, fast-paced, 24/7 operations with significant teams.
• A confident communicator who can take the team on the journey with you, winning hearts and minds. Leading and managing teams while influencing strategy and encouraging a healthy, competitive environment.
• Strong P&L management skills through effective planning and reporting.
• Someone who enjoys resolving problems, demonstrating resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility.
• Proven history of effective decision-making in time-pressured environments, with accountability for meeting customer deadlines and KPIs.
• Demonstrable career progression and experience in developing high-performing teams to meet objectives.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Proven background managing large, successful logistics or distribution sites/teams.
• Good analytical skills, financial reporting, and P&L deliverables.
• Resilient and determined, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good knowledge of transport and H&S regulations.
• Strong people management and communication skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Flexible approach to meet the needs of a 24/7 operation.
