Job summary

Kelling Group in Sherburn seeks an Engineering Manager to oversee the Major Repairs depot, lead a team, manage stock and fleet, and ensure high service quality and product availability. You will develop and validate new products, systems and components, and drive performance across depot operations.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to maintain operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Management: Manage, mentor, and motivate all engineering depot staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee recruitment, including selection, interviewing, inductions, and employee development.
• Conduct and organise regular Toolbox Talks, staff cover management, and holiday planning.
• Facilitate investigatory and disciplinary hearings, addressing grievances as needed.
