Job summary

Stagecoach Basingstoke is seeking a hands-on Bus Depot Service Assistant to fuel and oil our fleet, drive vehicles around the depot, and perform comprehensive cleaning tasks. You will help maintain a tidy, safe depot and support vehicle changeovers and parts delivery as needed.

The role offers full training, a 40-hour week, and a rolling shift pattern. Ideal candidates will have a PCV preference with a full UK driving licence and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• PCV licence preferrable and full UK driving licence essential.
• Positive, can-do attitude and pride in doing a job well.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to keeping things clean and safe.
• Team player who communicates clearly and supports others.
• Willingness to learn; training will be provided on everything needed.

Responsibilities

• Fuelling and oiling the fleet of buses
• Driving (shunting) vehicles safely around the depot and parking them correctly
• Cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles, including deep cleans and under-chassis washes
• Keeping the premises tidy and hygienic, including washrooms
• Carrying out vehicle changeovers, breakdown support, and collecting/delivering vehicles or parts
• Logging fuel and oil usage and completing daily checks on equipment
• Supporting the team and contributing to a safe, efficient depot operation
