Job summary

Stagecoach Group is seeking a Bus Service Assistant at the Basingstoke depot. You will fuel and oil the fleet, drive vehicles around the depot, and perform comprehensive cleaning tasks, ensuring the depot stays tidy and compliant with safety standards.

Role includes changing over vehicles, supporting breakdowns, and delivering vehicles or parts as needed. Training provided; pension and benefits available, with a 40-hour week and 5 days in 7 shift pattern.

Qualifications

• PCV licence preferrable.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Fuelling and oiling the fleet.
• Driving (shunting) vehicles around the depot and parking them.
• Cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, including deep cleans and under-chassis washes.
• Keeping premises tidy and hygienic, including washrooms.
• Carrying out vehicle changeovers, breakdown support, and collecting/delivering vehicles or parts.
• Logging fuel and oil usage and completing daily checks on equipment.
• Supporting the team to ensure safe, efficient depot operation.
