Job summary

Stagecoach Group is seeking a Night Operative at Exeter depot to support cleaning, refuelling and shunting duties. You will help ensure buses and coaches are clean, safe, and ready for service, contributing to a reliable transport network for thousands of passengers.

Training is provided and the role offers the opportunity to work nights on a 5-out-of-7 pattern. The ideal candidate will hold a PCV or car licence, have a positive can-do attitude, and be committed to high standards of cleanliness

Qualifications

  • PCV or Car licence required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Fuelling and oiling our fleet of buses and coaches.
  • Driving (shunting) vehicles safely around the depot and parking them correctly.
  • Cleaning the interior and exterior of our vehicles, including deep cleans and under-chassis washes using approved equipment.
  • Keeping our premises tidy and hygienic, including washrooms.
  • Carrying out vehicle changeovers, breakdown support, and collecting/delivering vehicles or parts when needed.
  • Logging fuel and oil usage and completing daily checks on equipment.

At Stagecoach, our Bus Depot Service Assistants play a vital behind-the-scenes role in keeping our buses clean, safe, and ready to hit the road. You’ll be an essential part of a supportive team that helps make sure thousands of people get to where they need to be, every single day.
