Job summary

Felix is seeking Depot Assistants to support its food redistribution operations in depots. The role involves organizing and sorting food deliveries and may include driving or co-driving routes.

A Full UK Driving Licence (over 21 for insurance) and forklift license are required, with flexibility for physical work in a busy warehouse environment. The contract is casual and onsite at our depots.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (over 21 for insurance).
• Forklift license and ability to operate a pump truck.
• Willingness to perform light to medium physical work.
• Warehouse experience and teamwork abilities.
• Flexible working hours.

Responsibilities

• Organising and sorting food deliveries in the depot.
• Going out on food delivery/collection routes driving or co-driving.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and assist team as needed.

Purpose of the Job

To help us with our operations in our depots we are seeking Depot Assistants with exceptional organisation skills, attention to detail and a positive 'can do' attitude! The role is subject to a degree of flexibility, but initially the Depot Assistant will be involved with the following activities:

• Organising and sorting food deliveries in the depot
• Going out on the food delivery/collection routes, driving or co-driving

Person Specification

• Full UK Driving Licence (with no more than 6 points) held for at least 1 year - over 21 for insurance purposes
• Flexibility in terms of working hours
• Confident to drive one of our vans
• Committed to reducing food waste, food poverty
• Fork lift license
• Previous warehouse experience and use of a pump truck
• Ability and willingness to work in a busy environment
• Ability to work within a team of varied individuals
• Meticulous organisation skills and attention to detail
