Job summary

South Kesteven District Council is seeking an assistant to the Transport and Depot Manager to help oversee the council's fleet and depot operations. The role covers fleets and depot sites and supports operations in Waste, Street Scene, Workshop and Housing services.

The post-holder will help ensure legal compliance and best practice in transport management and environmental permit compliance. This role is not politically restricted.

Responsibilities

• Assist Transport and Depot Manager with fleet and depot site management.
• Support compliance with transport regulations and environmental permit management.
• Assist with operations across Waste, Street Scene, Workshop and Housing teams.
• Contribute to delivering best practices in transport management.

Job description

To assist the Transport and Depot Manager with the management of the Council's fleet and depot.

This role will support the Transport and Depot Manager in all matters relating to transport and depot site management associated with the council's operational activities, including those undertaken by Waste, Street Scene, Workshop and Housing.

Furthermore, the post-holder will assist the Transport and Depot Manager in achieving legal compliance and best practice in both transport management and environmental permit management.
