Job summary

H-Power is a UK-based, AIM-listed clean energy company developing zero-emissions hydrogen power systems. We are seeking a Deployment Technician for a 6‑month fixed‑term contract to install, commission and support fuel cell deployments across the UK and internationally.

The role is hands‑on and customer‑facing, based at our Surrey facility when not on site. You will travel to customer sites, support live projects and help prepare systems for deployment, with a strong emphasis on safety and

Qualifications

• Experience in field service, deployment, commissioning or installation engineering.
• Hands-on engineering background with electrical bias preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication with customers and engineering teams.
• Safety-focused with professional site conduct.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, operate and remove hydrogen fuel cell systems at customer sites across the UK and internationally.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and technical support on deployed equipment.
• Coordinate loading, transport and positioning of deployment equipment.
• Prepare hydrogen fuel cell systems for field deployment.
• Complete deployment documentation including installation records, RAMS and service reports.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve field issues.
• Conduct customer site surveys to assess deployment opportunities.
• Support customer training and maintain a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Monitor deployed systems and contribute to product improvement.
• Ensure all deployment activities comply with safety and site regulations.
