Job summary

Ocean Red is seeking a Deployment Engineer to own container deployment for each client on a live trading platform. You will create repeatable OpenShift or Kubernetes deployments, validate them internally, and deploy with client engineers on site or remotely.

You will participate in early design sessions to finalize load balancing, failover, and TLS/ mTLS considerations. Joining a senior Linux-focused delivery team, you'll deploy multi-service applications across platforms and travel to

Qualifications

• Experience deploying multi-service containerised apps on OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Strong Linux administration on RHEL or Rocky.
• Ability trace a failed deployment through dependencies and TLS/mTLS certificates.
• Comfort leading setup sessions with clients and explaining issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Write platform-native deployments for each release.
• Prove deployments on internal pre-go-live systems before client exposure.
• Collaborate with client engineers until deployment is live.
• Attend design sessions before development to settle load balancing, failover and certificates.
• Travel to international client sites, sometimes on short notice.
