Job summary

The University of Lancashire is seeking a Dental Therapist to join the clinical supervision team. The position is based at Carlisle Dental Education Centre, with at least two days per week on-site.

You will supervise undergraduate students on the BDS and BSc Dental Therapy programmes, contribute to teaching and assessment, and help with course administration across Carlisle and Preston campuses, including travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy, or a Degree in Oral Sciences or Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
• GDC registration as a Dental Therapist is essential.
• Experience as a Dental Therapist in a primary care setting with clinical supervision experience.
• Willingness to undertake degree studies if diploma holder.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision for undergraduate students on the BDS and BSc Dental Therapy programmes.
• Engage in wider teaching, assessment and course administration.
• Travel between Carlisle and Preston campuses for teaching activities.
