Job summary

University of Lancashire is seeking a suitably qualified GDC-registered dental nurse to join our onsite clinic-based teaching team. The role involves chairside support across teaching programs, instrument preparation, sterilisation and infection control, and providing pre/postoperative guidance for dental procedures.

Experience in a busy dental environment and ongoing CPD are essential. Candidates must hold GDC registration and a National Certificate or NVQ level 3 in Dental Nursing.

Qualifications

• Evidence substantial experience in a busy dental environment.
• Knowledge of SOE and continuing professional development.
• Must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
• Hold National Certificate of the Examining Board for Dental Nurses or NVQ level 3.

Responsibilities

• Chairside set up and full chairside support for teaching programs.
• Prepare clinical areas, sterilise instruments and ensure infection control.
• Provide pre- and postoperative advice and instructions for dental procedures.
