Job summary

Crescent Lodge Dental is a beautifully renovated private practice in Clapham Common, seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist to join a friendly, supportive team on a full-time basis. You’ll manage front-desk duties, patient communications and diary management in a well-run practice.

You’ll be part of a team committed to delivering an excellent patient experience and professional standards, with competitive pay, bonuses and a focus on development and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Ideally, you will have experience in dental, healthcare reception or a dental practice environment.
  • If you don’t have dental experience, you must have strong front-of-house or customer service experience with a genuine passion for excellent service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Confident and professional when speaking with patients face-to-face and over the telephone.
  • Highly organised, reliable and able to remain calm and efficient in a busy reception environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing a warm, welcoming and professional experience for all patients.
  • Ensuring patients are greeted promptly.
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries.
  • Booking, amending and cancelling appointments efficiently.
  • Managing clinician diaries and ensuring appointment books are used effectively.
  • Taking payments and processing invoices accurately.
  • Discussing treatment fees and payment options with patients where appropriate.
  • Managing patient communications via telephone, email and other practice systems.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team.
  • Following up treatment plans, appointments and patient enquiries where required.
  • Maintaining high standards of confidentiality and compliance with practice procedures.
  • Helping to create a positive and professional patient journey from first contact through to treatment.
  • Assisting with general administrative duties and supporting the team when required.

You’ll work closely with our clinicians and wider practice team, playing an important role in creating an excellent patient experience from the moment patients contact us.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist to join our friendly team on a full-time basis.

  • Monday: 12:00pm - 8:30pm
  • Tuesday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Wednesday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in delivering an exceptional patient experience and creating a positive first impression for every patient.
