Job summary

18 Week Support in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Dental Nurse to support insourcing surgical lists across the region. You will provide chairside and administrative assistance during dental and oral surgery procedures, ensuring safe, high-quality care and smooth patient pathways.

The role requires NHS experience, GDC registration, and strong infection control, with a focus on tooth extractions and multidisciplinary teamwork in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• GDC registered Dental Nurse with a relevant dental nursing qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Recent NHS Dental Nursing experience, including at least 12 months in a substantive NHS role.
• Recent hands-on experience in oral surgery and/or tooth extractions.
• Experience working within a dental, oral surgery or maxillofacial setting.

Role Overview:

We are seeking experienced Dental Nurses to support insourcing surgical lists across West Midlands, helping to deliver NHS waiting list initiatives. The Dental Nurse will provide clinical and administrative support to dentists and oral/maxillofacial surgeons during surgical and dental procedures, ensuring patients receive safe, effective and high-quality care. The role will involve supporting patient care pathways, providing chairside assistance, maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control, and assisting with surgical procedures including tooth extractions. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced clinical team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
