Job summary

18 Week Support in West London is seeking experienced Dental Nurses to support insourcing surgical lists for NHS waiting list initiatives. You will provide chairside and administrative support to dentists and oral/maxillofacial surgeons during surgical and dental procedures, ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality care.

The role requires working across patient care pathways, preparing rooms and instruments, maintaining infection control, and assisting with tooth extractions.

Qualifications

• GDC registered Dental Nurse is required.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience.
• NHS dental nursing experience with at least 12 months in a substantive NHS role.
• Experience in oral surgery and/or tooth extractions.
• Experience in dental, oral surgery or maxillofacial settings.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control and GDC standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and continuing professional development.

Role Overview:

We are seeking experienced Dental Nurses to support insourcing surgical lists across West London, helping to deliver NHS waiting list initiatives. The Dental Nurse will provide clinical and administrative support to dentists and oral/maxillofacial surgeons during surgical and dental procedures, ensuring patients receive safe, effective and high-quality care.

The role will involve supporting patient care pathways, providing chairside assistance, maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control, and assisting with surgical procedures including tooth extractions.

Essential Requirements:

• Recent hands-on experience in oral surgery and/or tooth extractions.
• Experience working within a dental, oral surgery or maxillofacial setting.
• Good knowledge of infection prevention and control and GDC standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
