Job summary

Henry Schein Dental Recruitment in Dereham is seeking a dedicated dental nurse for a busy mixed NHS and private practice. The full-time role offers 40 hours per week with a Saturday option, starting ASAP, and pay of £13–£14 per hour.

You will assist with patient preparation, sterilisation, and setting up surgeries alongside General and Specialist dentists, with some reception duties possible. You must have dental nursing certification, GDC registration, CPD log, Hep B status and right to work in

DENTAL NURSE REQUIRED IN DEREHAM

To work Full time, Saturdays also available as an option

A busy mixed NHS and private practice in Dereham, Norfolk.
This is an exciting opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic dental nurse to join our successful team. We are looking for a team player with motivation, communication skills and organisational skills.

You will help with preparing patients, sterilising instruments and setting up surgeries, whilst working alongside fantastic General and Specialist dentists.
There may be some reception and administration duties. To do well in this role, you should be able to provide a great level of patient care.

Dental Nurse Responsibilities:

• Preparing patients for dental work.
• Helping with infection control by sterilising and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
• Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
• Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
• Providing great patient care.
• Recording treatment information in patient records.

Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
Caring for dental equipment.
Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory.
Be able to carry out (or willing to receive training in) taking alginate impressions, ITero scanning patients and taking radiographs.
Administrative duties including reception duties

Dental Nurse Requirements:

• Certification in dental nursing
• GDC registration
• CPD log
• Hep B immunisation status
• Right to Work in the UK with visa if necessary
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks, including dental software.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
• Able to provide great patient care.
