Henry Schein is seeking a dedicated dental nurse for a busy mixed NHS and private practice in Dereham, Norfolk. The role is 40 hours per week with Saturdays optional and an ASAP start. Competitive hourly rate (£13–£14) reflects experience and responsibilities.

You will work across NHS and private settings, supporting dentists, hygienists, and the team while ensuring high standards of infection control and patient care.

Qualifications

• Certification in dental nursing is required.
• GDC registration is required.
• CPD log must be up to date.
• Hep B immunisation status is required.
• Right to Work in the UK with visa if necessary.
• Experience using computers for dental software is required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Professional appearance and attitude expected.
• Ability to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for dental work.
• Sterilising and disinfecting instruments, setting up trays, preparing materials, and assisting with procedures.
• Assisting dentists with emergencies and with hygienists as needed.
• Providing great patient care and recording treatment information.
• Giving patients information on dental hygiene and oral health.
• Recording medical/dental histories and patient vital signs.
• Providing postoperative instructions as directed by dentist.
• Caring for dental equipment and ordering supplies.

DENTAL NURSE REQUIRED IN DEREHAM

To work Full time, Saturdays also available as an option

A busy mixed NHS and private practice in Dereham, Norfolk.

This is an exciting opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic dental nurse to join our successful team. We are looking for a team player with motivation, communication skills and organisational skills.

Dental Nurse Responsibilities:

• Preparing patients for dental work.
• Helping with infection control by sterilising and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
• Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
• Assisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
• Providing great patient care.
• Recording treatment information in patient records.
• Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
• Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
• Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Caring for dental equipment.
• Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory.
• Be able to carry out (or willing to receive training in) taking alginate impressions, ITero scanning patients and taking radiographs.
• Administrative duties including reception duties

Dental Nurse Requirements:

• Certification in dental nursing
• GDC registration

• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks, including dental software.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
