Job summary

The University of Central Lancashire is seeking a clinical supervisor to support undergraduate teaching for the BDS and BSc Dental Therapy programmes. The role involves supervising students, delivering teaching, and participating in course administration, with two days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays) and travel between sites.

Ideal candidates will be registered with the GDC as a Dental Therapist and have substantial primary care experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy or a degree in Oral Sciences or Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
• If holding the diploma, willingness to undertake funded degree studies on appointment.

Job description

This clinical supervisor post sits in the dental teaching team at the University of Central Lancashire, within the academic division. The core of the work is supervising undergraduates on the BDS and BSc Dental Therapy programmes, with wider teaching, assessment and course administration alongside. Working two days a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays, the post supports programmes taught within a primary care framework and involves frequent travel between sites. Fit turns on GDC registration as a Dental Therapist and substantial primary care experience.
