Job summary

Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd is a family-run business delivering demolition projects across the South West and Wales. We are seeking hardworking Demolition Operatives to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis, with travel to various sites.

Overtime and a company van are provided, along with PPE and a strong focus on health and safety. Ideal candidates will hold a valid CSCS card (assistance available to obtain one) and a Full UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required; support can be provided to help the right candidate obtain one.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with soft strip, demolition and site clearance works.
• Operating hand tools and demolition equipment safely.
• Segregating and managing waste materials for recycling and disposal.
• Maintaining high standards of site housekeeping.
• Supporting site set-up, fencing, signage and barriers.
• Following site instructions and safe systems of work.
• Reporting hazards, near misses and unsafe conditions.
• Working as part of a team to deliver projects safely, efficiently and on schedule.
