Job summary

Scantec in Stevenage is seeking an experienced Machine Driver / Demolition Operative to join a busy site for a three-week contract starting Monday. You will operate a wheeled 30T excavator and handle demolition attachments on a live project.

The role requires valid CPCS A59B and CCDO cards, proven excavator experience, and a diligent, safety-minded approach on a busy site with overtime available. Hours are 7:30am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with weekend overtime rates.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS A59B card.
• CCDO Card.
• Experience driving a wheeled 30T excavator.
• Previous demolition experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a wheeled 30T excavator.
• Use demolition attachments.
• Process waste materials.
• Load wagons and skips.
• Carry out general machine/site duties as required.
• Work safely and efficiently on a busy site.

We are currently looking for an experienced Machine Driver / Demolition Operative to work on a busy site in Stevenage.

Location: Stevenage

Start Date: Monday 9th November

Duration: 3 weeks (potential to extend)

Rate: £28.00 per hour CIS

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm

Overtime: Saturday & Sunday available at 1.5x / 2x rates

The role will involve:

• Operating a wheeled 30T excavator.
• Using demolition attachments
• Processing waste materials
• Loading wagons and skips
• Carrying out general machine/site duties as required
• Working safely and efficiently in a busy site environment

Requirements

Essential:

• Valid CPCS A59B card
• CCDO Card
• Experience driving a wheeled 30T excavator.

Preferred:

• Previous demolition experience
