Job summary

Royal London is seeking a Demographic Risk Analyst to join our actuarial team at Alderley Park. The role starts in September 2027 and offers a hybrid working pattern (50% home/office) with a focus on longevity, population health and demographic trends.

You will develop and apply demographic and mortality assumptions for bulk purchase annuity pricing, support data validation, and collaborate with Pricing and Insurance Risk to inform decisions that support customers and Royal London's long-term

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills for working with detailed data.
• Confidence using Microsoft Excel and actuarial models.
• Good organisation and attention to detail with priority management.
• Clear written and verbal communication and collaborative teamwork.
• Interest in longevity, mortality research, and demographic trends.

Responsibilities

• Support production and review of demographic assumptions for bulk purchase annuities.
• Prepare, validate and analyse member and scheme data; identify data gaps.
• Use actuarial models to produce demographic, mortality and longevity outputs.
• Check model inputs/outputs with documentation and controls.
• Explain analyses clearly and assist Pricing and Insurance Risk in decisions.
• Contribute to improvements in tools, processes and guidance.
