Job summary

The Lanesborough, a luxury hotel on the doorstep of Hyde Park, invites applications for a Pastry Demi Chef de Partie to join our pastry kitchen team. You will contribute to delivering an exceptional culinary offering, with a focus on learning the menu and maintaining top gastronomy standards.

You will train across sections, expand your pastry knowledge, and grow within a professional kitchen that values skill development and progression. Strong English and a passion for patisserie are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within a fine dining restaurant preferred.
• Passion for baking, chocolate and patisserie.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred; will be certified with the Company.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Role involves some manual handling in kitchen operations.

We have an exceptional opportunity to join our Pastry Kitchen Team at The Lanesborough. Candidate Profile

As a Pastry Demi Chef de Partie, you will contribute to delivering an exceptional culinary offering, demonstrating adaptability to meet guests’ requirements while maintaining the highest standards of gastronomy. You will take a proactive approach to training, ensuring a deep understanding of the menu and the expectations within a professional, high-level kitchen.

With a strong emphasis on skill development and precise menu execution, you will approach each task with pride, embracing on-the-job training and focusing on progression within the team. Flexibility is essential, as you will work across different sections and actively expand your knowledge in all areas of pastry.

Key Requirements

• Experience in as similar role within a fine dining restaurant preferred but not essential
• Show drive and passion for baking, chocolate and/or patisserie
• Catering School qualifications preferred
• Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred although not essential for commencement as will be certified with the Company
• Exhibit excellent technical and natural cooking abilities
• Good command of the English language
• Please not, this role involves some manual handling and, on occasion, lifting of heavier items as part of standard kitchen operations.
