Job summary

The Trafalgar St. James, a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in London, seeks a Demi Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team. You will support the Chef de Partie and contribute to a smooth day-to-day operation with high culinary standards.

You’ll prepare ingredients, maintain mise en place, and help ensure every dish reflects our quality. Eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• You’ll bring a genuine passion for food, a positive can-do attitude and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
• Good attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to work as part of a busy kitchen team.
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen is desirable; reliability and willingness to learn are key.
• Must be eligible to live and work in the UK or obtain permits to work in the UK prior to application.

• Prepare ingredients, assist with mise en place, follow recipes and presentation standards.

What your day will look like?

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the Chef de Partie and wider kitchen team with the day-to-day preparation and smooth running of your section. You will prepare ingredients, assist with mise en place, follow recipes and presentation standards, and ensure all dishes are prepared to a consistently high standard. You will work closely with the team during service to ensure food is prepared and delivered efficiently and on time.

You will be responsible for keeping your section clean, organised and fully prepared throughout the day, ensuring all equipment and work areas meet food hygiene and safety standards. You will assist with receiving and storing deliveries, checking the quality and freshness of ingredients, rotating stock and helping to minimise food waste. You will also follow all health & safety, food safety and hotel procedures at all times.
