Harbour Healthcare is seeking a Weekend Activities Assistant for Riverside Court Care Home in Maryport. This 16-hour role covers Saturday and Sunday shifts, offering engaging activities for residents, including those living with dementia.

The role focuses on delivering meaningful experiences, supporting the activities team, and ensuring residents enjoy social and therapeutic activities. You’ll join a warm, patient-focused team and help organise events, book entertainers, plan community outings,

Responsibilities

Plan and support engaging group and one-to-one activities for residents.
Organise themed events and celebrations.
Coordinate with entertainers and external suppliers.
Assist with community outings including transport planning.
Maintain participation records and track resident needs.
Contribute ideas to keep activity programmes fresh.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work as part of our Activities Team to create meaningful experiences for residents, including those living with dementia.

Supporting engaging group and one-to-one activities
Helping to organise themed events and celebrations
Booking entertainers and external suppliers
Assisting with community outings (transport & accessibility planning)
Maintaining participation records and reviewing resident needs
Contributing ideas to keep our programme fresh and inspiring
Supporting fundraising events and community involvement
Attending training and team meetings

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where no two days are the same.
