Derbyshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Care Worker for Specialist Dementia Services at the Oakland Residential Community Care Centre. The role is permanent with Grade 5 pay and offers various hours to suit operational needs.

You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering compassionate, person-centred care to residents living with dementia, supporting independence and quality of life in a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and committed to improving lives.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of dignity, respect and person-centred care.
• Willingness to undertake training and development.
• Experience in care is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality person-centred care and support
• Assist individuals with personal care and daily living activities
• Promote independence, choice and dignity at all times
• Support residents to participate in meaningful activities and social opportunities
• Develop positive relationships with individuals, families and professionals
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and infection prevention procedures
• Work flexibly as part of a team to meet the needs of the service
