Job summary

Oaklea Dementia Care Unit, within Ashlea Court Care Home, part of Willinbrook Healthcare, provides specialist dementia care for up to 26 residents. The unit offers a structured, supportive and homely environment designed to meet the needs of individuals living with dementia.

Care Assistant role supports residents with complex needs, following care plans and routines to promote dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• SVQ2 in Health & Social Care or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in care or mental health is beneficial but not essential.
• Commitment to a compassionate, person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with complex needs including advanced dementia and mental health conditions.
• Provide safe, consistent, person-centred care that preserves dignity and independence.
• Follow individual care plans and structured routines, building positive relationships.
• Respond appropriately to changes in behaviour or wellbeing and work with the team.
