Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading manufacturing business in Scunthorpe to recruit a Demand Planner on a 12-18 month FTC. You will own the monthly S&OP cycle end to end and integrate demand, supply and production into one coherent plan.

The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home), 37.5 hours, Friday early finish, and performance bonuses. You will work with Sales, Product Management and Projects to improve forecast accuracy.

Qualifications

• A background in demand planning or supply chain planning.
• Strong understanding of S&OP or Integrated Business Planning principles.
• Hands-on ERP/MRP experience (IFS would be a real advantage).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Confident communicator.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the monthly S&OP cycle, facilitating Demand Review, Supply Review, Pre-S&OP and Executive S&OP meetings.
• Consolidate demand, supply, inventory and financial assumptions into one operating plan.
• Develop and maintain rolling 3, 6, 12 and 24 month forecasts, working with Sales, Product Management and Projects to improve accuracy.
• Translate forecasts into material, supply and capacity requirements, identifying gaps and recommending mitigation plans.
• Build and maintain finite production schedules, releasing and prioritising work orders.
• Run and review MRP outputs, managing lead times, safety stocks and reorder policies.
• Maintain planning data integrity within the ERP system and support process and system improvements.
• Support new product introduction, product transitions and end-of-life planning.
