Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and business insights to support effective supply planning and customer fulfilment.
  • Analyse forecast performance, identify variances and demand trends, and implement corrective actions to continuously improve forecast accuracy.
  • Collect, validate, and interpret data from multiple sources, ensuring the integrity and reliability of forecasting systems, reports, and planning information.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers, Supply Planning teams, customer-facing functions, and other stakeholders to gather insights, build consensus forecasts, and communicate key updates.
  • Produce actionable reports and present demand insights to stakeholders while driving continuous improvement through process optimisation, automation, and reporting efficiencies.

Location: Hybrid Worker – Expectation is two days per week on site at our Nottingham/Alfreton office

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: Offered on a starting salary of £47,874 with the potential to increase to £56,322 over the course of three years.

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.

The Demand Planner is central to balancing customer needs with operational efficiency, by working closely with Supply Planning and other stakeholders within the organisation.

The role merges quantitative data with qualitative insights to produce a reliable, consensus forecast.

The position is ideal for individuals with developed analytical capabilities and experience in planning.
