NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.

We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to provide expert financial support across the business. Acting as a trusted advisor to operational leaders and budget holders, you will help drive informed decision-making, improve financial performance, and support the delivery of strategic objectives.

You will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and business case development, delivering meaningful insights that influence both operational and strategic decisions. The role also plays a key part in evaluating investment opportunities, undertaking financial modelling, and ensuring effective financial management of third-party contracts and services

Every day you will …

• Provide strategic financial business partnering and decision support to senior leaders and budget holders, offering insightful analysis, robust challenge, and recommendations that support operational and strategic objectives
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities, ensuring accurate financial projections, effective cost management, and alignment with organisational priorities and performance targets.
• Develop financial models and business cases to evaluate investment opportunities, support business growth initiatives, and enable informed decision-making through clear assessment of costs, benefits, risks, and return on investment.
• Deliver high-quality financial reporting and performance insights, analysing complex data sets to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and translating findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships across the business and with external partners, influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive accountability, continuous improvement, and value-for-money outcomes.
