Job summary

Government of Jersey is seeking a Warehouse/Delivery Operative to join our logistics team. You will load and unload vehicles, drive a small goods vehicle, and ensure accurate receipt and distribution to client premises.

Roles involve forklift training if not already certified, warehouse organisation, stock picking, showroom movements, basic furniture assembly, and support to fitters on site. Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, with some waste collection duties.

Qualifications

• Valid clean driving licence is essential.
• Must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes.
• Familiarity with forklifts is preferred or willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Deliver goods to client premises.
• Receive goods from freight companies and check items.
• Organise goods within BHC warehouses.
• Pick goods from the warehouse for delivery.
• Move display goods to/from showroom.
• Assemble basic furniture at showroom and client sites.
• Assist kitchen/bedroom fitters on site when required.
• Collect/dispose of waste.
