Delivery Van Driver - Fast-Paced Routes & Customer Service

Job summary

The TRC Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the Tyne and Wear area for several dedicated Van Drivers. The role involves delivering to customers with 80+ stops daily, loading and unloading parcels, and following fixed routes with a strong focus on service quality.

Expect shifts across Monday to Sunday with a typical start in the morning. A valid UK licence and DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) are required to join the team.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence.
• 1 year of multi-drop delivery experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to load and unload vehicles manually.
• Flexibility to work 5-6 shifts per week, including weekends.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a company van to deliver to customers (residential and commercial).
• Achieve 80+ stops per day.
• Manually load and unload parcels.
• Follow established delivery routes and schedules.
• Ensure parcels are handled with care and delivered promptly.
• Provide exceptional customer service to recipients and senders.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly.
