Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational management of the delivery suite and maternity triage, transfers, discharges and staffing resources to ensure safe service delivery.
• Assess maternity service capacity and acuity; prioritise workload and escalate concerns to maintain safety and quality.
• Provide clinical support, guidance and supervision to midwifery and multidisciplinary teams; act as a senior point of contact for complex clinical situations.
• Support the management of obstetric emergencies and ensure appropriate escalation processes are followed.
• Advocate for women and families, ensuring care is personalised, compassionate and responsive to individual needs.
• Promote teamwork, continual learning and staff wellbeing, embedding a culture of excellence in maternity care.
