Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Midwife to provide dynamic, compassionate leadership within the Maternity team and to manage the Delivery Suite on a shift basis. You will supervise staff, develop their skills, and ensure high-quality, personalised care for women and families in line with best practice and national guidance.

The post holder will lead by example, promote normal birth, participate in audits and research, and contribute to infection control and risk

Qualifications

• Experienced Midwife with leadership experience on a delivery suite.
• Must comply with the NMC Code of Professional Practice and Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective compassionate leadership for the Maternity team.
• Manage the Delivery suite on a shift basis, including staff development and supervision.
• Promote normal birth and support staff in skill mix and care dependency.
• Contribute to standards, audits, infection control, risk management, and safeguarding.
