The Delivery Partner Manager is an advisor and operating partner to Delivery Service Partners (DSPs). Amazon’s team assists and guides DSP business owners in building and growing successful last mile package delivery businesses within Amazon Logistics (AMZL). The role involves helping to start new businesses and maintaining high standards of excellence. The manager will advise on business improvements and work alongside Regional On The Road (OTR) managers on responsibilities related to the transition of planning and DSP capability.
The Delivery Partner Manager identifies and executes value-creation opportunities, managing the DSP relationship throughout the business lifecycle with a focus on sentiment, safety, compliance, performance, and capacity. They work as trusted advisors to help solve challenges, influence planning and strategy, and anticipate obstacles, ensuring DSP owners make effective decisions and deliver quality.
The manager will oversee a portfolio of owners at various stages, setting strategy, driving accountability, and tracking performance metrics. They collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Partner Relations, Value Added Services, Legal, fleet, and network health. The role involves removing obstacles, improving practices, and supporting enforcement policies, as well as maintaining feedback channels with teams and partners.
This is a field-based role requiring significant travel and flexibility to work hours including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum qualifications include a degree and relevant experience in operations, last mile logistics, account or relationship management, or related fields. Experience with third-party resources, contingent workforce management, process improvement methodologies like Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, project planning in ambiguous environments, strong communication skills, analytical work, and team goal achievement are required.
