Job summary

Burns Sheehan is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to deliver digital and technology initiatives, including ERP integrations, across R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. The role combines hands-on delivery with team leadership and close collaboration with senior stakeholders.

You will manage projects from initiation to delivery, govern budgets, timelines and risks, and develop delivery plans while coaching a wider delivery team. This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Manchester.

Technical Project Manager / Delivery Manager

Location: Manchester/ Hybrid

Type: Permanent

We’re recruiting for an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to deliver Digital & Technology function, and ERP integrations, delivering technology change across Research and development, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

This is a varied role combining hands-on technology project delivery with team leadership, working closely with senior business and technology stakeholders.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing technology projects and programs from initiation through to delivery and adoption.
• Managing scope, budgets, timelines, resources, risks and dependencies.
• Developing business cases and delivery plans.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders, D&T Pillar Leads and technical teams.
• Leading governance, steering committees, reporting and project reviews.
• Coaching and supporting a wider team of Delivery Managers.
• Driving consistent project management standards and ways of working.
• Tracking deliverables, benefits and overall delivery performance.

The portfolio will focus on R&D and regulatory operations, innovation and data, manufacturing efficiency, and end-to-end supply planning.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong experience delivering technology projects/programs in a complex organisation.
• Excellent stakeholder, planning and governance skills.
• Experience managing budgets, risks, resources and dependencies.
• The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and senior business stakeholders.
• Experience supporting, coaching or leading other project/delivery professionals.

Experience within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or another regulated environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of GxP/validation.
