Job summary

Maxwell Bond is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join the IT Product & Delivery team for a large organisation undergoing digital and technology change. You will own complex, high-risk digital products and services, collaborating across teams and senior stakeholders to ensure delivery is focused and delivering value.

You will drive delivery plans, manage risks, blockers and governance updates, and coach teams to improve Agile maturity while aligning with product, architecture, security

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Agile and Lean delivery; apply pragmatically.
• Leadership and management experience.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of delivery risk, dependencies, financial management and suppliers.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and creating high-performing delivery environments.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or ServiceNow is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Owning delivery plans, risks, issues, dependencies across multiple workstreams.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to remove blockers and keep delivery moving.
• Apply Agile/Lean approaches such as Scrum, Kanban or hybrid models.
• Line management of 5 seniors.
• Coach teams and senior stakeholders to improve Agile maturity.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, Operations and wider business teams.
• Manage senior stakeholders and present delivery updates through governance forums.
• Challenge scope, risks and deadlines when needed.
• Translate complex technical delivery issues into clear information for non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide leadership to delivery practitioners and analysts.
• Help shape Communities of Practice and raise delivery standards.

Job description

We're working with a large organisation that's going through an exciting period of digital and technology change, and they're looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to join their IT Product & Delivery team.

This isn't just a role where you'll be running stand-ups and keeping projects on track.

As their Delivery Manager, you'll have real ownership across complex, high-risk digital products and services, working across multiple teams and senior stakeholders to make sure delivery is focused, joined-up and actually delivering value.

What you'll do as Delivery Manager:

• Owning delivery plans, risks, issues, dependencies and assurance across multiple workstreams
• Working with multidisciplinary teams to remove blockers and keep delivery moving
• Using Agile and Lean approaches such as Scrum, Kanban or hybrid models, adapting them to suit the environment
• Line management of 5 seniors
• Coaching teams and senior stakeholders to improve Agile maturity and ways of working
• Working closely with Product, Architecture, Security, Operations and wider business teams
• Managing senior stakeholders and presenting delivery updates through governance and strategic forums
• Having the confidence to challenge around scope, risks and deadlines when needed
• Turning complex technical delivery issues into clear, straightforward information for non-technical stakeholders
• Providing leadership and line management to delivery practitioners and analysts
• Helping shape Communities of Practice and improve delivery standards across the wider organisation

What we are looking for:

• Excellent knowledge of Agile and Lean delivery, with the ability to apply it pragmatically rather than following a framework for the sake of it
• Leadership and Management experience
• Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders
• Strong understanding of delivery risk, dependencies, financial management and suppliers
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and creating high-performing delivery environments
• The ability to understand technical challenges and explain them clearly to non-technical audiencesExperience with tools such as Azure DevOps or ServiceNow is desirable
