Job summary

Morson Group is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join our client’s Data & Reporting Programme. The role spans two workstreams: a Report Replacement solution and a Databricks / Enterprise Data Platform, providing end-to-end delivery structure, coordination and governance across technical and business teams.

The position is hybrid, with two days per week in Central London or Chesterfield, 6‑month contract, paying £600-£650 per day Inside IR35, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead daily stand-ups and coordinate blockers, actions and dependencies.
• Drive Agile ceremonies and adapt methodologies per workstream needs.
• Coordinate sprint planning, reviews, and refinements across teams.
• Maintain delivery and sprint plans aligned to milestones and roadmap.
• Coordinate end-to-end delivery across requirements, development, testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, BAs, Architects and QA.
• Monitor sprint commitments and ensure progress to objectives.
• Support Databricks data products, data pipelines and ED Platform enhancements.
• Oversee delivery of Oracle + Power BI reporting solutions to time and quality standards.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and blockers; escalate when needed.
• Provide regular stakeholder updates on progress, risks and decisions.
• Document actions and decisions; ensure transitions into operations are smooth.

Delivery Manager – Data & Reporting Programme

• Contract duration: 6 months
• Location: Hybrid- 2 days per week in either office location- Central London or Chesterfield
• Pay range: £600-£650.00 per day/ Inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to join our client’s data and reporting programme, supporting the delivery of two key workstreams a Report Replacement solution and a newer Databricks / Enterprise Data Platform workstream.The role will sit across both workstreams, providing the delivery structure, coordination and end-to-end oversight needed to keep technical and business teams aligned and ensure the programme continues to make measurable progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate daily stand-ups, ensuring actions, blockers and dependencies are identified, tracked and followed through to completion.
• Drive effective Agile ways of working across delivery teams, while adapting the approach to the needs of different workstreams.
• Coordinate sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives and refinement sessions.
• Maintain sprint and delivery plans, ensuring these remain aligned to programme milestones, roadmap commitments and changing priorities.
• Coordinate requirements, development, testing and deployment activities across multiple delivery teams.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Business Analysts, Architects, testers and wider technical teams to coordinate delivery end-to-end.
• Track sprint commitments and ensure agreed objectives and deliverables are progressed and delivered.
• Support the iterative delivery of Databricks data products, data pipelines and Enterprise Data Platform enhancements.
• Coordinate delivery of the Oracle database and Power BI reporting solution, ensuring deliverables meet agreed scope, timelines and quality standards.
• Manage dependencies across teams and ensure these are clearly understood, communicated and actively managed.
• Identify, manage and escalation risks, issues and blockers where appropriate.
• Provide regular stakeholder updates covering delivery progress, risks, issues, dependencies and key decisions.
• Ensure actions, decisions and assumptions are documented, tracked and followed through to completion.
• Support the successful testing, deployment and transition of reporting solutions into business operations.
• Ensure delivery remains aligned with programme objectives, governance standards and agreed timelines.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the delivery lifecycle.
• Help delivery teams achieve predictable and measurable progress against roadmap commitments.
• Build strong working relationships across technical and business stakeholders, creating clear communication, coordination and accountability.
• Take an end-to-end view of delivery, ensuring architects, engineers, BAs and testers are working collaboratively rather than operating in silos.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a hands-on Delivery Manager who can combine strong delivery management skills with enough technical understanding to work effectively across data and technology teams.

Essential:

• Proven experience working as a Delivery Manager across complex technical or transformation projects.
• Strong experience managing Agile delivery and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
• Experience delivering data platforms, data transformation or data-related programmes.
• Experience coordinating multiple technical teams and managing dependencies across requirements, development, testing and deployment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
• Experience identifying and resolving blockers, risks and delivery issues.
• Strong organisational skills, with experience maintaining delivery plans, sprint plans, roadmaps and governance information.
• Ability to take ownership of delivery and drive teams towards clear, measurable outcomes.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to bring different teams and disciplines together around a common delivery objective.

Desirable:

• Experience delivering data platforms, data transformation or data-related programmes.
• Experience working with Databricks, data pipelines or Enterprise Data Platforms.
• Experience with AWS or cloud-based technology environments.
• Experience delivering reporting solutions involving Oracle databases and/or Power BI.
• Previous experience within retail, particularly environments involving transactional data, would be beneficial. Banking experience would also be relevant.
• Experience working in complex Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
