Job summary

University of Cambridge is seeking an experienced Product Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of a Digital Assessment Product. You will work with Management, engineering, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure backlog delivery on time and within scope.

The role combines delivery leadership, planning, and continuous improvement to maximise customer and business value. Fixed-term contract for 1 year, with possible secondment opportunities and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Product Delivery Manager, Delivery Manager, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and modern product delivery practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, Operations, and Business stakeholders.
• Analyses market and/or user research to understand needs and opportunities; develops product propositions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product delivery across multiple initiatives and workstreams.
• Prioritise product and service requirements, develop roadmaps, and own the backlog.
• Translate roadmaps into achievable delivery plans with teams.
• Manage risks, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and promote best practices.
• Track progress, budgets, and resources to ensure delivery success.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and provide regular status updates.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and outcomes.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and quality standards throughout delivery lifecycle.
