Job summary

OVO Energy is seeking a Growth and Delivery Lead to ensure engineering teams deliver high-quality work efficiently and meet objectives. You will support career development, coach ICs, and collaborate with an IC partner for growth planning.

Operating within OVO’s IC Growth Frameworks, you’ll lead about 25 engineers with a plan to scale to ~35, focusing on systemic enablement and process simplification to accelerate Plan Zero outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven ability in managing software engineering delivery and leadership of teams.
• Experience with agile methodologies and engineering best practices.
• Ability to coach and grow engineers and product teams.
• Strong collaboration with IC partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Delivery metrics management: track cycle time, throughput, deployment frequency and quality.
• People growth & enablement: support career development, coaching, and promotion readiness for engineers and product teams.
• Performance management: conduct reviews aligned with role competencies and provide actionable feedback.
• Own IC growth frameworks and collaborate with leadership to define levels and expectations.
• Cross-team collaboration: align with Product Management, Technical Leads, and stakeholders to deliver objectives.
• Provide day-to-day people management support (holiday approvals, leave, expenses).
• Participate in recruitment and onboarding to integrate new team members.
