Job summary

IKEA Greenwich are looking to welcome a Delivery Driver, officially titled a Customer Resolution Delivery Co-worker. You will travel to customers’ homes to deliver and resolve issues, ensuring safe, timely, and friendly service. Start date: 24th November 2026.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle safety checks and take appropriate action.
• Load goods safely and meet delivery timings.
• Visit customers’ homes to resolve complaints and deliver or replace stock.
• Deliver goods to customers’ homes and respect safety procedures.
• Handle a range of furniture items using safe lifting practices.
• Manage daily collections and returns with care and professionalism.
• Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues to resolve issues.

• Competitive salary of £30,290 per annum based on competence and experience.


• 39 hours working 5 days per week.


• Shifts between the hours of 7:30AM and 10PM including working 2 in every 4 weekends.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• You must have held a Full UK Drivers License for a minimum of 24 months.


• You aim to deliver the best possible experience, are prepared to step up and problem solve when things aren’t right.


• You are someone who takes Health & Safety seriously and are comfortable risk assessing your environment.


• You are attentive to details especially when it comes to performing checks on your vehicle.


• You are a practiced and capable driver, experienced in working with GPS and maps.


• You are someone who offers support and will step in to assist your team when necessary to secure tasks in connection to your role.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• You will be responsible for completing vehicle safety checks and taking appropriate action.


• You will load goods into the vehicle in a safe and organised manner ensuring to ensure that you are set up to meet allocated timings for each delivery.


• Visit customers’ homes to resolve complaints and deliver or replace missing stock.


• You will deliver goods to customer’s homes and take them into a nominated room, carrying out risk assessments on location to prevent injury and damage to property.


• We deliver and collect all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes you will be required to handle a range of furniture items using safe manual handling practices, employing both one and two person lifting, whether is flat packed or already assembled in the customers home.


• Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers’ homes while managing 12-15 daily collections, delivering excellent customer service and representing the IKEA brand in a professional manner.


• Efficiently manage the collection and processing of returned products, ensuring compliance with IKEA's returns policy.


• Focused on prompt and careful handling of stock to ensure quality deliveries to our diverse clientele and various store branches, following prescribed workflow and routines.


• Communicate professionally to all IKEA customers, co-workers and service partners in a confident and friendly manner handling complaints and claims efficiently and with diplomacy.
