Job summary

Sainsbury's Group is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries directly to customers’ doors with a friendly and efficient service. You will operate a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, uphold safety checks, and follow planned routes across diverse locations.

In this role you’ll interact with customers, handle order updates, and work within a fast-paced store environment. Ongoing training and a supportive team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old with a full UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months and with no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work in the UK is required.
• Sainsbury's uses in-cab AI cameras to monitor driver behaviour and safety.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury's at every doorstep you deliver to, providing a friendly and helpful service.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Carry out vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness and secure loading.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in various locations and weather conditions.
• Move shopping containers up to 15kg and deliver to customers, including steps or lifts.
• Communicate with customers about delays and resolve any order changes.
