Job summary

Royal Mail in Preston Central Delivery Office is seeking enthusiastic individuals for a temporary Delivery Driver role. You will drive a Royal Mail van on a round and deliver letters and parcels to communities, with some parts of the route undertaken on foot.

Role requires a full, manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points, physical fitness for long walking periods, and flexible shifts. A driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, and handle a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; ability to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels to the delivery area, indoors and outdoors.
• Drive a Royal Mail van on your round and complete parts of the route on foot.
• Securely deliver all items, including election materials, following Royal Mail standards.
• Be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering come rain or shine.
